Abstract

Satisfied consumers are a practical definition of high quality, achieving and maintaining the level of customer satisfaction with product quality, is a factor that determines the health, growth and survival of companies. The Taguchi method in overcoming this problem carried out an experimental design so that the setting level value for the process of making the right tile product was obtained, so as to get quality printing results. Thus the approach to this problem is carried out by using robust design which has the principle of quality improvement. Factors that influence the design of tile product quality include: clay content, waste return, granularity factor, agalmatolite factor, charger quantity factor and feldspar concentration factor. Setting the level of the most optimal tile manufacturing process to minimize product defects in the composition ratio, based on research data obtained from samples before and after the experiment there was a reduction in the average defect from 35% to 22%.
